LABOR LAW

The Labor Law Practice Area offers our clients support for contracting, managing, and terminating the labor relationships applicable to their operations.

Our attorneys provide ongoing counsel, both of a preventive nature as well as during corrective or contingent phases, with the capacity to address individual, collective, or administrative matters before labor and social security authorities.

The principal mission of the attorneys in our Labor Law Practice Area is to foresee any conflict that may arise with labor authorities, social security institutions, unions, and even the workers themselves, collaborating proactively with our clients to review labor-related documentation and compliance with the applicable employer obligations, based upon the diverse statutory provisions that govern general working conditions, training and formation, and even safety and hygiene.  This effort includes the preparation of internal shop rules and management of the joint committees stipulated in the Federal Labor Act.

In addition, we have the capacity to represent our clients before Local and Federal Conciliation and Arbitration Boards for purposes of addressing and following up on individual and collective labor proceedings such as claims for termination without cause, rescissions, worker deaths, payment of benefits, conciliations, separations, calls for strikes, and collective bargaining priority demands, among others.  Our clients benefit from our experience in the preparation, negotiation, and review of collective bargaining contracts with labor unions.

The Labor Law Area supports our clients with the following aspects:

  • Labor and Social Security consultancy.
  • Collective and Individual Labor.
  • Prevention of Conflicts and risks.
  • Litigation and Attention of special procedures.
  • Training in Employment Law.
  • Planning and implementation of labor strategies and structures.
